This extremely rare, historical Record contains an Account of the Formation of the Regiment in 1685 and of its Subsequent Services to 1848. The volume is compiled by Richard Cannon of the Adjutant-General's Office, Horse Guards, and includes a full listing of the Colonels of the Regiment. It is illustrated with bright colour plates depicting The Queen's and The Regimental Colours as well as Staff Officer's Dress Uniform. The book is in extremely good condition and is bound in bright red boards with embossed design and gold titling. There is a very small abrasion to the foot of the spine, which is, itself, discoloured/faded.

This Territorial Division was formed in 1909, and served with distinction on the Western Front in WWI. They saw action on the Somme and at the Battles of Ypres, Cambrai and Givenchy-Festubert among others. The author was the Senior Chaplain of the Division. This scarce Liverpool Daily Post Printers first edition is in fair to good condition. Bound in green boards with red titles and Red Rose of Lancashire motif, it has some foxing to page edges. Binding is slightly loose at some internal pages, where it has been repaired with tape. Ex private libris bookplate at front paste down.
