by John Simpson

This third volume of renowned BBC reporter, John Simpson's autobiography, draws on his vast experience and looks at the mechanics of newsgathering and reporting. With incident and anecdote, he provides an insight into how a journalist follows a story, even when the odds are stacked against them, and they are at risk of great personal danger. Disguised as a woman, he crossed the border into Afghanistan following the terrorist attack on the World Trade Centre, and was one of the first Western journalists into Kabul, witnessing the fall of the Taliban at first hand.
