A sympathetic account of MacArthur by a friend from WWI. THAT DRUG DANGER
by Sir James Hutchinson DSO

A Christmas card thought to be from the author and his wife to the previous owner is inside the front board. The dustjacket is very marked but complete, the text and boards are very good except for the first 3 pages which have a small damp mark and rippling at the bottom. The author who has had a very colourful and distinguished career describes his experiences during the Second World War with the Maquis behind enemy lines in France. In order to return to France during 1944 he had had to have plastic surgery to disguise his features from the Nazis.
