A history of the Israeli Air Force and its aircraft since 1947.
Previous books have been sensationalist and low on factual
content, or lacking in fundamental research. Bill Norton has
trawled through thousands of documents, reports, and illustrations
to produce a work that is staggering in its depth. Detailed
type-by-type coverage is supported by hundreds of photographs from
the IAF's formative days, through the Suez Campaign, the Six Day
War, Yom Kippur and on to today's sophisticated force. Includes
full colour illustrations of all of the unit badges of the IAF.

On Sunday, 23 May 1706, near the village of Ramillies in modern
Belgium, the Anglo-Dutch army commanded by John Churchill, 1st
Duke of Marlborough, inflicted a devastating defeat on the
French army of the Duke de Villeroi. Marlborough's triumph on
that day ranks alongside Blenheim as one of the great feats of
his extraordinary military career. The French army was shattered
physically and morally and, as a result, Marlborough's army
overran almost all of the Spanish Netherlands, and gained an
unshakeable advantage over the armed might of Louis XIV's France
during the long War of the Spanish Succession.

OSPREY NEW VANGUARD 176:
IMPERIAL JAPANESE NAVY HEAVY CRUISERS 1941-45
by Mark Stille
Designed with little more than a passing
nod to the international naval treaties of the inter-war period,
the Imperial Japanese Navy’s heavy cruisers were fast and
heavily armed. The heavy cruisers were technologically superior
to and far more innovative than their Allied rivals, whom they
met in many of the major Pacific Theatre battles, including
Midway and Leyte Gulf. Mark Stille continues his study of the
IJN of WWII with this fascinating topic, addressing the design
and development of all 18 ships in the six heavy cruiser
classes.

More than 70 years ago the 2nd Australian Imperial Force arrived
in the Middle East to begin their extraordinary adventures in
battles against the German and Italian armies in North Africa,
mainland Greece and Crete. ANZAC FURY tells the riveting story of
how the legendary Anzac Corps was reformed in the heat of battle
during World War II to fight a powerful and merciless foe.
Dramatically combining personal memories with combat action, it
describes the experiences of young Australians and New Zealanders
who were sent on Churchill’s orders from the victorious battlefields
of Libya on a disastrous mission to Greece and Crete.
