communications, radio intelligence and reconnaissance, towing,
and many more purposes. Apart from German manufactured
automobiles such as Audi, BMW, VW, Opel and Mercedes, the
Wermacht made use of vehicles made in the occupied territories.
These included Skoda, Citroen, Renault and Peugot, and they also
operated captured cars such as the Willys Jeep, Fords, Cadillacs,
