Following on from Christopher Shores original work, 'Fighters
over the Desert', this is the first volume of a seminal series
covering all aspects of aerial operations throughout the whole of
the Mediterranean area. Operations directly over the main
battlefronts are dealt with on a daily basis, however, to allow a
clearer view to be obtained of operations elsewhere in the theatre,
separate chapters deal specifically with night bombers, the air
defence of the base areas, and naval co-operation activities.
Numerous tables and a considerable number of photo-graphs are
included in this comprehensive and definitive book.

The m.Zgkw.8t was one of the most important German military
vehicles, due to impressive size and the weapons they towed.
Many m.Zgkw.8t have survived in public and private collections,
including examples of all the chassis types and several hundred
hours were spent precisely measuring each, and over one thousand
hours were expended to create accurate drawings. Panzer Tracts

modifications, including the history of the Trattore
Semicingolato 8t which Breda was licensed to build for the

In July 1943, the German Army launched Operation 'Citadel' against
the Kursk salient. This is a comprehensive history of the
Wehrmacht's last great offensive on the Eastern Front. The book
begins with a study of the background to the battle and a
description of events on the Eastern Front before the opening of
the offensive. Its authoritative text is supplemented with
detailed maps that explain the troop movements which took place
during the battle. It also includes appendices with information
on orders of battle, losses and equipment.

The Northumberland Fusiliers was one of the oldest regiments in
the British Army. Descended from an Irish regiment raised in
Holland by Lord Clare in 1674, it became part of the British Army
in 1688 and, in 1747, it was numbered the 5th Regiment of Foot.
During the next 155 years it fought in North America, Canada,
South America, the West Indies, the Peninsula, India (where three
VCs were won during the Mutiny) and finally in South Africa where
this history ends. It became the 1st Battalion of the Royal
Regiment of Fusiliers in 1968.

In April, 1982, more than 200 years of tension erupted into
open conflict when Argentine forces invaded the Falkland islands
in the South Atlantic. A British Task Force was sent to reclaim
the islands and British attacks started on 1 May, a beachhead was
established at San Carlos on 21 May and the Argentines surrendered
on 14 June. The author, a former Royal Marine Commando, recounts
his experiences. He looks at all the units that took part,
describing the fierce battles to regain the islands in the first
major war for British forces since Korea.
