An account of the development and
service history of the legendary F-86 Sabre, America's first
swept-wing jet fighter. This is an extensively illustrated
study of all versions in U.S. and international service
covering its succesful combat record in the Korean War
against the communist MiG-15. The book also includes details
of the FJ Fury variants used by the U.S. Navy and Marine
Corps plus the Canadian built Canadair Sabre in service with
numerous foreign air forces including the RAF. The book is
in good condition in a slightly faded and repaired dust

This series focuses on military
aircraft from the Second World War onward, with an emphasis
on the markings carried. The book contains a concise written
history of the Stirling, which was one of the triumvirate of
RAF heavy bombers which carried the war to the heart of the
Reich. The book is illustrated with colour and black and
white photographs, together with colour profiles and
multi-view drawings. The centre pages are devoted to a 1:72
scale 5-view line drawing, with numerous scrap views of
variants and details. Appendices tabulate units, serial
numbers, tail codes etc.

Unusual in being designed as a
4-gun turret armed fighter, the Defiant scored some early
victories in the Battle of Britain, however it was soon
outperformed by Luftwaffe fighters. It later went on to
night fighter and target towing roles. Drawings are provided
in both colour side and plan view with 1:72 scale plans, kit
decal and accessory lists, squadrons, units and individual
aircraft serials and codes.

The Heinkel He 177 Greif
("Griffin") was a Luftwaffe long-range, heavy bomber in
World War II. It had payload, range and capability similar
to strategic bombers in the USAAF and RAF, although its
cruising and maximum speeds were much higher. This book
follows the production and service history of the Heinkel He

The Do 217 was one of the primary
manufactures of twin engine bombers for the Luftwaffe. The
1935 vintage flying pencil went onto give reliable early war
service before the basic design was progressively developed
into the Do 215 of 1938. That same year a further refinement
emerged as the Do217. This aircraft despite extrapolation of
the basic design into the Do317 and 417 became the last
Dornier bomber to see front line service with the Luftwaffe
