The most comprehensive history of Israeli Defence Force vehicles,
the book presents a detailed account of the many designs in IDF
service and their combat history. The text is complemented by a
staggering array black and white and colour photographs, mostly
previously unpublished and sourced from official and unofficial
collections. They provide unprecedented detail for the modeller
and vehicle enthusiast, and include much interior detail of the
vehicles in training, in combat and preserved in museums. This
first volume covers vehicles in service between 1948 and 1959,
concentrating on the 1948 Arab/Israeli War.

In August 1914 the German 2nd Army had the mission of taking
the vital fortresses of Liège and Namur, and defeating the
Anglo- French-Belgian forces in the open plains of northern
Belgium. The attack on the fortress at Liège from 5 to 16 August
1914 had tremendous political and military importance, and yet
there has never been a complete account of the siege. Making use
of both German and Belgian sources, and supported by tactical
maps, this book for the first time describes and evaluates the
construction of the fortress, its military purpose, the German
plan and the conduct of the attack.

A beautifully illustrated history of Northrop's amazing Stealth
Bomber - the batlike B-2 Spirit. Developed using many of Jack
Northrop's Flying Wing theories (and looking remarkably similar
to the revolutionary XB-35 and YB-49 bombers of the 'forties)
the Spirit has truly revolutionised the USAF's ability to
project strategic power on a global scale. Four stealthy B-2s
can deliver the same bombing power as thirty two standard attack
aircraft backed up by twenty eight escort and defence
suppression aircraft and fifteen tankers!
