The history of Panzer Brigade 105,
September, 1944. This is the story an experiment that failed - the
creation of separate armored brigades, within the Panzertruppe in
1944. They were to be a form of field army level reserve and
strike force. This book examines the formation, deployment,
virtual destruction and ultimate deactivation of Panzer Brigade
105. Instead of being deployed on the Eastern Front as originally
intended, the brigade was rushed to the West and the unstable
situation there in 1944. The story is presented not only from the
German side, but also from the viewpoint of the various US forces
employed against the brigade in September 1944.

The Heinkel He 219 Uhu was a victim of intrigues and competition
for power in the RLM during World War II. This excellent night
fighter could have become a dangerous weapon against Allied night
bombers attacking the Third Reich. Fortunately the aircraft was
sacrificed at the altar of political scheming and personal envy. The
monograph includes camouflage and marking details, technical
descriptions, photos, colour plates to 1:60 scale and 1:48 scale
drawings on a folded A1 insert.

THE MILITARY MUSIC AND BANDSMEN
OF
ADOLF HITLER'S THIRD REICH 1933-1945
by Brian Matthews
Stirring German military marching songs became an enduring
memory of WWII, but who exactly were the soldiers behind this
evocative music and from where did the famous Korps and unit songs
originate? This painstakingly researched book examines a hitherto
overlooked area of German military history and details the
specialist training of Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS military musicians.
Lavishly illustrated with over 1,000 black and white and colour
photographs, it documents their musical instruments, uniforms and
personal effects.

The Centurion was the British Army's first standard main battle
tank after World War Two. It first saw combat in Korea and was
used by a number of armed forces over the next thirty years.
Numerous different variants were produced, and many remain in
service to this day. The author charts the development and service
of the Centurion from its inception right up to 2005. The
Centurion was continually improved with more powerful guns and
other refinements, and all its versions are fully described, as
are the armoured recovery and armoured engineers vehicles that
were developed from the basic design. Its combat service
throughout the world is extensively covered.
